Invetus Clinical Network

The Invetus Clinical Network (ICN), is an evolution in the management of clinical trials, speeding up the clinical study process, delivering high quality data and releasing client resources by:

  • Providing a single point of contact for multi-centre clinical studies;

  • Utilising a network of willing investigators trained in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) studies;

  • Using ICN monitors to ensure the continued quality of studies from start to finish.

For clients who need to place clinical studies in companion animals in Australia, ICN represents a new way to successfully complete those studies quickly and effectively.

The ICN has contacts to a range of veterinary practices, hospitals and research facilities throughout eastern Australia, who are are willing to be trained in the requirements of clinical study evaluations. Studies can be run in a variety of climate conditions from the cool temperate to tropical. Working extensively with all types of veterinary specialists and emergency hospitals, the ICN can access any type of companion animal disease and equipment needed for diagnostics and treatment.

The ICN also has a network of experienced, trained and available monitors, who ensure studies are designed, conducted, recorded and reported according to the study protocol, as well as local and international guidelines.

Large mammal models – ICN also offer research in companion animals (dogs and cats) as large mammal models for human disease. The dogs and cats used in these studies have naturally occurring disease and their owners are often looking for new therapies to help their four legged friends. For example, in oncology we are working in dogs to cure brain tumours and this information will be used to treat humans on behalf of a leading Australian university and government research institute.
